Sicilian Caponata 750g
Caponata is a Sicilian stew with fried aubergine, olive oil, tomatoes, celery, olives and capers, in an agrodolce sauce (sweet and sour Italian sauce). We add pine nuts and sultanas which can often feature in this lovely summer vegtable stew. You can eat it hot or cold or try with toasted fregola or a piece of our focaccia, as a side to chicken or fish, or just on its own. A generous portion for two, this stew is also suitable for home freezing.
